My name is Jeremy Collins, Owner of PajamaConference.com, and we are stating a new online concept and wanted to invite you to partner with us.

We are creating a "Build your own conference" online site where church's can search through hundreds of videos and audios from years of conference breakout sessions, open sessions, workshops, ect.. and purchase them individually or as a package in order to host their own virtual conference. We are offering any one who would like to contribute some of their videos and audios of their past sessions 80% of all sales of their videos and audios on our site.

If you have any audio or video teachings you would like to add to our site I'd love to speak to you about that.

Please check out our site and what we are trying to accomplish. Bringing ministry education to leaders for FREE or at a very low cost.

Bro ... this is so what I'm preaching this weekend too! Romans 8:1-4.

Religion points to three things; we ought to, we don’t, and now we are at odds with God. Christianity, the message of Jesus is this . . . what the law could not do, God did by sending his Son to be a sacrifice for sin.

It means this whether you are Baptist, Presbyterian, Catholic, Muslim, Hindu, Eastern kind of religion, you meditate, you are into New Age, it doesn’t matter. Regardless, if there is something in you, that is still trying to earn God’s favor, you have never accepted the free gift of forgiveness.

If there is something in you and every time you pray, it doesn’t matter what your religious tradition is, every time you pray or when you pray you are like “God, I know I am not worthy, I know I have done these things, but I am trying hard and I am giving more and I am serving more and I quit dating for three years . . . or is it five years . . .” or, “God, I am trying. God I am trying to be such a good law keeper that you will shine your favor on me.”

If there is any of that thinking in your heart or mind regardless of where your list came from, you have never accepted the greatest gift you will ever be offered, the gift of absolute forgiveness and a right standing with God.

Christ fulfilled the law, and we get to live and walk in His Grace!!

Good Word here bro!

Hey Scott! I work with the Orange Leaders blog and wondering if you'd like to come up with a 2 minute video and/or 200 word post to let people know about your breakout session(s) for the Orange Conference this year. All I'm asking is that it not be exactly like the description. Speakers are telling me about their Orange connection (why they are a part of this movement) and a nugget or paragraph that gives a sneak peek of the content they'll be sharing. If you're interested, please email me back with your video and/or text and I'll get it up on www.orangeleaders.com Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for all you're doing to reach the next generation-Cara Martens

Scott,
So what's your plan now that it's canceled?
I went to your class at ORANGE and was encouraged by your message. I work with Jr. High and lead our Family Ministry Team. I've been doing student ministry for 14 years and have a few questions for you if you wouldn't mind the dialogue:

- I imagine the big event did have some holes. What were they? What do you plan on doing? I imagine your problems weren't necessarily unique and what you've found could help me as we continue to evaluate our events - especially the "BIG" "youth group" time.

- What are you doing in terms of "family ministry" and connecting with parents at the Jr. High and then High School level. I think the Orange people have nailed it at the children's ministry level: FX Experience events, "God Time" Cards, etc. However, things seem to get wishy-washy at the post-elementary age level. Are you guys doing anything at the student ministry level that connects and engages parents?

If you have some free time, feel free to email me back at dhenderson@sunnybrookcc.org and let me know any of your thoughts.

Great question.
If i was in your seat i would consider raising up a volunteer point person for each area you oversee, including youth ministry. You can divide your time up between those key volunteers and raise them up as leaders in your church. I think all family pastors have a natural leading toward one age range, mine is actually college. The key is even if you can't change your schedule for now watch your words. When you meet with other areas of ministry let them know you have a vision for them.

Another idea... mix up the jobs between youth and children's and have everyone put their time into each age area. If you can't give up youth ministry you may be able to hand off elements to the family ministry team. Then when you gather each person has an investment in each area of ministry.

Question for you...
What if your at a smaller church (400-500 people) and can't only be the Family Pastor? I am the youth pastor and oversee the family ministry team. What practical suggestions do you have that I can do while still maintaining the previous oversight I have. My leadership will not allow me to stop being the youth pastor and hire a new youth pastor.
